General anesthesia

General anesthesia is a medically controlled state of unconsciousness used during surgery or procedures so a patient remains asleep, pain-free, and unaware throughout the operation. It is administered by a physician anesthesiologist using intravenous medications, inhaled anesthetic gases, or a combination of both.

Regional anesthesia

Regional anesthesia is a specialized anesthesia technique that blocks pain in a specific area of the body while allowing the patient to remain awake or lightly sedated during a procedure. It works by temporarily numbing targeted nerves using local anesthetic medications.

Monitored anesthesia care

Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) is a specialized anesthesia service in which a physician anesthesiologist provides continuous monitoring, medication management, and sedation tailored to the patient and procedure. The level of sedation can range from minimal relaxation to deep sedation, depending on clinical needs.
